Director of Community Engagement – Central Florida
Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF)
Location: Central Florida / Remote/ Orlando Community Engagement Center (Oviedo) - must live in Central Florida (candidates outside the area won't be considered)
Status: Full-time
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 commensurate with experience + benefits
The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation is seeking an energetic, highly relationship-driven leader to grow FBCF’s presence, partnerships, volunteer network, and community-based fundraising throughout Central Florida.
This is a highly visible, field-based role for someone who loves being out in the community, building relationships, creating partnerships, engaging volunteers, and turning opportunities into action.
What You’ll Do
• Build relationships with healthcare organizations, businesses, civic groups, nonprofits, donors, and community leaders
• Lead and grow FBCF’s well-established Central Florida volunteer network
• Identify corporate partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising opportunities, and prospective donors
• Represent FBCF at meetings, events, health fairs, conferences, and community presentations
• Oversee and strategically utilize FBCF’s Orlando Community Engagement Center
• Help expand FBCF’s relationships in emerging Florida markets, including Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, and the Panhandle
• Collaborate with FBCF’s Executive Director and statewide team to increase awareness, engagement, and impact
We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, fundraising, business development, healthcare outreach, volunteer leadership, or a related field
• Proven ability to build relationships and develop partnerships
• Experience identifying fundraising, sponsorship, or revenue-generating opportunities
• Strong initiative, judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• A self-starter who is comfortable working independently and spending significant time in the community
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Central Florida
Experience with volunteer programs, nonprofit fundraising, corporate partnerships, healthcare, or the Central Florida community is a plus.
FBCF is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to ending the suffering caused by breast cancer through scientific research, education, advocacy, and funding for organizations providing direct services to patients and their families.
