Patient Services Administrator
Job Purpose
Position provides high quality administrative support to the organization by ensuring all patient- and client-related inquiries are conducted efficiently and accurately, creating a seamless front-line experience for patients and staff. This support contributes to optimal patient care delivery and outcomes through reliable, responsive and confidential administrative support.
Job Factors
Minimum Education Level Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, health services management, or related field preferred. Minimum Experience Level Required: Minimum two years of patient administration or related experience in a healthcare or health services setting. Will accept less experience for Bachelor-degreed incumbents.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complicated concepts to a wide variety of diverse populations. Spanish fluency required.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, confidentiality laws and data protection standards in a clinical environment.
-Demonstrated data management experience, including handling sensitive information, conducting basis data analysis and ensuring error-free documentation.
-Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with associated program technology (electronic health records, scheduling solutions, and billing software.)
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, billing practices (including Medicaid exclusion), and best practices preferred.
-Ability to resolve administrative conflicts and adapt to changing priorities.
-Self-directed and self-motivated, proactively prioritizing competing demands efficiently and independently.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle protected health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA standards.
-Exceptional time management, professionalism and organizational skills and abilities.

-Mobility within the office and parking lot
-Motor vehicle operation to off-campus locations and events (Travel 5%)
-Access information using a computer
-Access clinical materials and utilize medical equipment within a clinical environment.
Environmental Conditions
Indoors in an environmentally controlled space with exposure to environmental hazards (contaminants, hazardous equipment, and infectious disease.) Occasional work outdoors exposed to elements. Frequent performance of position duties while standing and walking. Frequent computer use at a workstation up to two hours or more at a time. Frequently fast-paced work with unscheduled interruptions. Work may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet patient care demands.
