2013 Great Day in the Country Arts & Crafts Festival
Going on its 40th year, Great Day in the Country Arts & Crafts Festival is not only a community event but also a major fundraiser for the GFWC Oviedo Woman’s Club philanthropic programs, scholarships and grants.
The Woman’s Club partners with the City of Oviedo in presenting this festival. It attracts more than 400 vendors and 60,000 attendees. It is one of the biggest fall events hosted by a private organization in Central Florida.
2013 will bring the finale of a Talent Show to the stage of Great Day in the Country Arts & Craft Festival.
Over the past 10 years the GFWC Oviedo Woman’s Club has raised more than $500k. These proceeds help our community in many ways, from providing meals for Ronald McDonald House to bagging lunches for children at HOPE Helps. It funds school programs and provide needed scholarships.
Scholarship recipients have received scholarships ranging from $1000 to $3000. Graduating girls and boys, recipients from past years continuing education, women returning to school can apply for scholarships. This year the GFWC Oviedo Woman’s Club is giving scholarships in the amount of $17,000
