Johnny Quest presents the Second Annual Legends of the Old School concert live at CFE Arena on Friday, November 4 at 7PM. The acclaimed lineup consists of Bell Biv Devoe, Debbie Gibson, Rob Base, JJ Fad, 69 Boyz, TKA, and Debbie Deb, along with a special live DJ set by Orlando’s own “DJ Magic Mike”.

A direct byproduct of the hugely successful 1980’s vocal quintet “New Edition”, Bell Biv Divoe (BBD) merged the irresistible sounds of Hip-Hop beats, New Jack Swing and R&B harmonies. The result was the 1990’s explosive debut album, “Poison.” Selling more than 4 million copies, the “Poison” LP spawned four chart topping singles including “Do Me!” “BBD…I Thought It Was Me,” “When Will I see You Smile Again” and the ever-enduring, party-starting platinum selling title track “Poison.”

For more than 25 years, Debbie Gibson has proven she’s an entertainer of immeasurable talent. From singer, songwriter and musician to actress and dancer, she embodies what it truly means to be an entertainer. A music prodigy, Gibson exploded on the Billboard Pop Charts at the tender age of 16 with the self-penned “Only In My Dreams.” The “Original Pop Princess” quickly became the youngest artist ever to write, produce and perform a No. 1 hit song, “Foolish Beat,” and entered the Guinness Book of World Records.

Rob Base from Harlem, NY, first began performing with various groups - Sure Shot Seven, Cosmic 3 MC’s, Freedom Force and Disco Enforcers. He and partner DJ EZ Rock would eventually separate from the groups to form Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock. Their first single “DJ Interview” came out on Mike and Dave’s label Star Maker’s Records in 1986. The song “It Takes Two” has been used in movies like The Proposal, in commercials for Yoplait Yogurt, Burger King and NFL Mobile, and can be heard at almost every major sporting event.
